If you would like to transfer a domain from one domain name registrar to another, you will need a special code, which may be called by different names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain name password, and so on. All these names refer to the exact same thing – a code that the domain registrant obtains from the present domain registrar and provides to the new one during the order procedure. Without a valid code, a domain transfer procedure cannot be initiated and this is one of the protection measures against unsanctioned transfer attempts used with all gTLD and with most ccTLD extensions. For even greater security, the code includes numbers and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domains, you need to provide the new domain registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting

If you’ve got a Linux shared services, you’ve registered a domain with us and you’d like to transfer it, you can get its EPP authorization code with less than a couple of clicks of the mouse. When you log into your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and navigate to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all the domains that you’ve registered with our company shown alphabetically. On the right-hand side of each domain, you’ll notice a tiny EPP icon for all domain extensions that need a code in order to be transferred between companies. Clicking on the icon will email the code to the registrant’s email momentarily. In the exact same section you can also find and eventually update the email address, if the one there isn’t valid anymore.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you would like to transfer any domain that’s registered under a semi-dedicated server account away from our company, you can get its EPP transfer authorization code with several clicks of the mouse from your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. All registered domain names are shown in a separate section of the Control Panel. Quick-access controls will permit you to use separate features. To get the EPP transfer code, you only have to click on the EPP logo, which will be to the right of any domain whose TLD extension supports transfers with a transfer authorization code. Our system will send the code to the domain registrant’s email address, which is currently listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record. If needed, you can modify this email from the same section of the Control Panel before requesting the transfer code. The update will take effect right away, so you do not have to wait for the new email to be published on WHOIS sites.
